Buttons - Level 01

Buttons are intended to perform an action on the current page. For example, opening a menu or submitting a form.

Buttons should not be used for navigation alone. Users expect links to be used for navigation. Therefore, a button whose sole purpose is to redirect users to another page may be confusing. Also, screen readers can't extract the link destination from the button's onclick handler, meaning visually impaired users don’t know where they are navigating to.
